Pop-up paper engineering - Among Us

For this project, I was planning to experience different kinds of pop-up mechanisms. I watched several YouTube videos and got inspiration from the Pop-Up Tutorials from this channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx2M2bGHtXBszG6tuR_NIbQ.

I noticed that most pop-up techniques have a similar goal: to hide something in the pocket and drag it out. This hiding mechanism reminds me of this game, "Among Us," in which one or more random players among the Crew are Impostors trying to kill everyone. Those impostors hide in the group and murder the crewmate who is on his or her own. The rule of this game and the design of impostors perfectly fit the characteristics of the pop-up.

I started it with the three-dimensional stairs at first and designed the pop-up words based on this tutorial https://www.instructables.com/Pop-Up-3D-words-and-messages!/. And then, I made two box-supported dead bodies and cut pieces of color paper glued together as crew members. The video shows the details of how to interact with different pop-up mechanisms in my project. They are my first attempts, so they are kind of shoddy. I believe that I can do much better for the next projects on pop-ups.

I have always been interested in three-dimensional constructions, so pop-up paper engineering is super attractive for me. For the next project, I might try something new and combine it with Arduino.
